1️⃣ MEMORY WIRE

Memory wire comes in several sizes and finishes. For this project, I used Beadalon Remembrance Stainless Steel Memory Wire in the "Bracelet" size.

2️⃣ BEADS

Of course, we're a fan of using 11/0 Miyuki seed bead mixes on these hoops. They give the hoops a designer look. But you can use any beads. Just be sure to check the hole size of the beads and the gauge of the wire to make sure the beads fit.

In the example below, I used our Mauvey Mix.

3️⃣ EAR WIRE

You can use any ear wire. For this project, I used our dark gray Niobium ear wires, which are hypoallergenic and match perfectly with stainless steel.

4️⃣ JUMP RINGS

I recommend using a jump ring that matches your ear wire. For this project, I used our 5mm OD dark gray Niobium jump rings.

5️⃣ MEMORY WIRE CUTTERS

This is very important. Memory wire is tempered stainless steel. You must use wire cutters designed specifically for cutting memory wire or rated for tempered stainless steel. Most standard jewelry wire cutters are not strong enough and will break. So please make sure you have the right cutters.

6️⃣ MEMORY WIRE FINISHING PLIERS OR ROUND NOSE PLIERS

I personally think memory wire finishing pliers make this project easier, especially if you haven't worked much with memory wire. But you can use standard round nose pliers.

HELPFUL TIPS

These earrings are easy to make. But, if you’re not used to working with memory wire and making loops, it can take some practice. I recommend trying it with a blank hoop (or two) before trying it with beads. And I think the memory wire finishing pliers are easier than standard round nose pliers. But it is possible to use round nose pliers.
